FitStrand — business platform
Terms of Service
Last updated: September 4, 2026
These Terms of Service govern use of the FitStrand platform provided by FitStrand ("FitStrand", "we", "us"). By creating an organization account, joining an organization, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these terms.
FitStrand is a separate product from the 20MIN FIT consumer application, and these terms do not govern 20MIN FIT.
1. The service
FitStrand is software that lets a fitness business run a branded training platform for its clients, including workout programming, nutrition tools, progress tracking, check-ins, groups, challenges, messaging and AI-assisted features. We provide the software; we do not provide fitness, medical, nutrition or health advice and we are not a party to the coaching relationship between an organization and its clients.
2. Organization accounts and roles
- The person who creates an organization becomes its owner and is responsible for the account, including its subscription and the conduct of the people they invite.
- Owners may invite admins, trainers and members and may remove them. Admins can manage the organization but cannot change billing. Trainers coach the members assigned to them. Members access their own coaching content.
- You are responsible for keeping account credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- Each organization's data is separated from other organizations. You may only access the organization or organizations you have been granted access to.
3. Member data and consent
An organization is responsible for the client information it enters, uploads or imports, including bulk member imports. By adding a client, the organization confirms it has the authority and any consent needed to add that person and to use their information for coaching, and that it will inform clients about how it uses the platform. Organizations must not upload information they are not permitted to share.
4. Trials, plans and payment
- New organizations receive a 14-day trial with a limited number of active clients and no credit card required.
- Paid plans are priced in USD and are billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's terms; we do not store full card details.
- Each plan includes an active-client allowance. Owners, admins and trainers do not count toward that allowance and pending invitations do not count.
- If an organization reaches its allowance, existing clients are not removed, but additional clients cannot become active until capacity is available or the plan is upgraded.
- Upgrades increase the allowance. Downgrades keep existing clients but may place the organization over its allowance until membership decreases.
- If a payment fails, a short grace period applies. After the grace period, organization-sponsored member access ends until billing is restored; organization data is preserved and owners and admins retain billing access.
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Cancellation and termination
- An owner may cancel a subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the period already paid for, after which the organization moves out of paid status.
- An owner or admin may remove staff or members from the organization. Removal revokes that person's access to the organization while historical coaching records remain part of the organization's records.
- We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or creates a risk to the platform or other users.
- After termination, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform unlawfully, or to harass, abuse or harm another person, including through messaging features.
- Upload content you do not have the right to upload, or content that is unlawful, harmful or misleading.
- Attempt to access another organization's data, bypass access controls, probe or disrupt the service, or reverse engineer the platform.
- Resell, sublicense or white-label the platform to third parties beyond running your own fitness business, without our written agreement.
- Use automated means to scrape or overload the service, or use AI features to generate harmful, deceptive or unlawful content.
7. AI-assisted features
Some features generate responses using third-party AI models. Output may be inaccurate or incomplete, is generated automatically, and is not professional fitness, nutrition or medical advice. Organizations and members should review AI output before relying on it, and coaches remain responsible for the guidance they give their clients.
8. Health and safety
Exercise and nutrition changes carry risk. Members should consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a program. Organizations are responsible for screening their own clients and for the programming they assign.
9. Intellectual property
- FitStrand owns the platform, its software, design and the FitStrand name and marks. These terms grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform while your subscription is active.
- Your organization keeps ownership of its own brand, logo and the content it creates, including programs, notes and messages. You grant us the right to host, process and display that content as needed to operate the service.
- Exercise, nutrition and library content we provide remains ours or our licensors', and may be used within the platform only.
- Feedback you send us may be used without obligation to you.
10. Service availability and changes
The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, add or remove features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and make no warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FitStrand is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the amounts paid by your organization to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify FitStrand against claims arising from your organization's use of the platform, the client information it adds, its coaching services, or its breach of these terms.
13. Privacy
Our handling of information is described in the FitStrand Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Manitoba have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available where you live.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after material changes are communicated means you accept the updated terms.
